What makes SOMESICS certification unique?

At SOMESICS, we appreciate the diverse range of courses and awards that simulationists can earn. However, we believe that the way simulationists apply this knowledge—both for their own growth and within their communities—is even more important. Therefore, we encourage all simulationists to showcase this certification.
The SOMESICS Educator Certification process evaluates candidates by assessing their application of knowledge and training rather than through a written exam. Candidates present a portfolio demonstrating their experience and, upon acceptance, outline a three-year project as a simulation educator to the evaluation committee.
Recertification involves presenting progress and results, fostering continuous application of skills, and allowing the international simulation community to recognize true experts.
When calls for experts in SOMESICS simulation are made, certified educators with relevant projects are invited, promoting their recognition and enhancing the quality of speakers at workshops and conferences.
